HRDP-SK Prototype, Pilot & implementation
2021-2022: Accomplishments to date

In 2021-2022, the processes and tools were created and tested to establish the HRDP-SK. This work was guided by an advisory group of patient partners, researchers, clinician scientists and health system staff. These include:

  • A streamlined Data Access Request (DAR) process
  • A central repository at eHealth, where all data will be housed
  • A Data Integration Process to standardize how datasets are added to the HRDP-SK central repository
  • A coordinated process for data trustees to assess data access requests for research
  • A Master Health Data Sharing Agreement to eliminate project specific data sharing agreements
  • Data literacy material to support research teams in understanding what data is available
2022-2023: Goals

Over the next year, the HRDP-SK will integrate the processes developed in the prototype into technological solutions and support a small number of patient-oriented research projects. This will be achieved by:

  • Implementing the legal agreements and privacy requirements needed to enable HRDP-SK
  • Integrating data into the HRDP-SK
  • Acquiring and implementing Secure Research Environment Technology solutions
  • Providing data access to SCPOR supported projects
  • Executing tests to validate the HRDP-SK prototype
2023-2027: Implementation

In 2022 and 2023, the HRDP-SK was trialed and piloted. In 2023-2024, the Health Research Data Platform- SK will pivot to implementing and continuing to refine the processes and technologies that have been developed to support a small number of Patient-Oriented Research projects with the HRDP-SK. This will be achieved by advancing the following five goals:

1.       Supporting research teams to use HRDP-SK

2.       Refining HRDP-SK technology and functionality of HRDP-SK

3.       Expanding the scope of the data held in the HRDP-SK repository

4.       Advancing the MHDSA and finalizing the HRDP-SK Privacy/Quality Framework

5.       Developing an HDP-SK Business Case
